When it comes to handling and acceleration, the Ford Focus SVT is hard to beat. With its high horsepower engine, it's definitely one hot car to drive. For 2005 year model, however, the Ford Focus SVT is no longer offered giving priority to less expensive Ford Focus cars. But cheer up all you SVT fanatics because Ford offers for this year the new ST trim level in lieu of the powerful SVT. The ST trim is available only in four-door sedan body style. This new model adopts SVT's suspension tuning and features similar well-bolstered seats and a lower hp engine that achieves more torque (145 ft lbs @ 5500). Only a five-speed manual transmission is available. The 2005 Ford Focus SVT comes with 16-inch alloys.

Among the interior features of the Ford Focus ST are the red-stitched black leather on the steering wheel and shift knob and comfortable seats resembling SVT's seats. Unlike the SVT, the bolsters are upholstered in cloth, which gives a sporty look. In front of the cushion is a manual control that simultaneously changes the height of the seats and tilt them. Other parts or eqyuipments available for the 2005 Ford Focus SVT are side airbags, heaters, audiophile system with in-dash CD changer and subwoofer, moonroof, and alarm set.
